The Cut Gym have expert personal trainers that’ll help you lose weight and hit your target goals through 1-2-1 sessions and nutrition coaching. However not everyone has a personal trainer, here are our tips on how to lose weight.
Keep an eye on portion size and nutritional value
Learning what food proportions work for you for each meal is incredibly important. Food heavily impacts your weight loss journey, not only by the amount of food you eat but what you’re putting in your bodies. You need to find a balance and make sure you’re eating nutrient dense foods. The key thing is finding food that’ll give you the same or more nutrients for less calories.
Don’t shy away from strength training
Depending on what your goal is determines how heavy and intense your strength training goes. But incorporating strength training into your workouts will help you build muscle whilst burning fat. However, the more you build muscle the more the scales become irrelevant, don’t be disheartened if the scales don’t go down at first, you could be building muscle. What matters is how you feel, and whether you are improving body composition.
HIIT Workouts
Incorporate some high intensity interval training into your workouts. This consists of short fast sprints, this will help with endurance and conditioning. There are many ways to do this, such as using a bike, cross trainer and treadmill.
Keep it simple
Go back to the basics, reduce calories whilst maintaining a good nutrient heavy diet, getting enough protein, increase your vegetable and water intake, and get more sleep. All of this will help you keep energy levels up, make sure recovery is okay and ensure your body is getting what it needs.
One step at a time
Do things slowly, don’t cut your diet back straight away and workout intensely at the same time. You need to incorporate this in slowly, so start sensibly and increase intensity as your form improves and you get stronger. Reduce your calories gradually ensuring you’re still getting the necessary dietary requirements in your body. If you do all these things too quick, you’ll be more prone to injuries, depletion in energy levels and you’ll lose motivation.
Everybody is different and how you respond to something might not be the same for someone else. For a more personalised and accurate plan, get in touch with our personal trainers based in Bank London, Liverpool St and Moorgate.
