How Rachel Got in Shape For Her Wedding

Rachel absolutely smashed her wedding prep. Here is what she said about her experience at The Cut and with Dave Leech, our Senior Personal Trainer.

I trained with The Cut in the few months leading up to my wedding and had an incredibly positive experience. Steve listened to my goals and decided I’d be a good fit for training with David, for which I am so grateful. 
 
David completely exceeded my expectations of what personal training can be. He is patient, diligent, incredibly knowledgeable, and effective. David thoughtfully planned out each of our sessions, and could always answer my (many) questions about what any given exercise was targeting. He was hyper-aware of my technique and in the months I trained with him, I had NONE of the injuries I usually get after starting a workout regimen again. I was concerned about being “bulky” (which totally didn’t happen) and he was incredibly patient in explaining the science behind why that wasn’t likely.
 
David also supported my nutrition journey, which was such an important component of getting more fit. He went so far as to review the menus of places I was going to dinner, to advise on some healthy choices. He’s a wealth of knowledge, and also a wealth of support. On my wobbly days in the gym David noticed and adjusted without making me feel bad about myself. He checked in with me regularly — not in a nagging way, just in a way that made me so reassured that I had a support system behind me. Even now that our training sessions are sadly done (due to me having to move for work, otherwise I’d continue), David has messaged to let me know he’s there as I make the transition. 
 
I am so grateful to David, Steve and The Cut for how confident they made me feel for my wedding (at which, I should mention, everyone kept saying how good my arms looked!), and for changing my perceptions of how I can be more fit.
 
I’d recommend The Cut to anyone — especially those who have struggled with body image and fitness, and just need someone really good in their corner
